First-time air passenger opens plane’s emergency exit door in hunt for loo
An aeroplane passenger who had taken to the skies for the first time caused chaos when she mistook the emergency exit for the loo – and tried to open it.
The unnamed traveller was new to life up in the clouds and she reportedly accidentally deployed the evacuation slide of the plane following his error.
The alleged incident occurred on a China Southern Airlines on Friday, March 25 just after the plane had boarded.
Following the mishap, passengers were evacuated from the flight from Chongqing to Shenzhen by over two hours, reports Asia One .
The embarrassed passenger said that it was her first time taking a plane and the long queue to the toilet had forced her to look for another elsewhere.
After the delay, she didn’t get to travel, instead being held at the airport for questionining.
In 2014, another first-time flier opened the plane emergency exit to ‘get some fresh air’.
Luckily, the bizarre incident happened while the jet was still grounded so airport staff rushed to fix the safety door while informing the pilot of his blunder.
