Ugandan State Minister for Health, Sarah Opendi, has formulated an amazing way of catching corrupt officials at the Hospitals.
The Health Minister, earlier yesterday in co-operation with the Ugandan Police masked herself as a patient and visited the Naguru Hospital to monitor the responsiveness of medical officials at the Hospital.
Sarah Opendi touched base at the Hospital facility at around 10am, wearing Muslim Burqa which covered her face; she arranged to take a test for hepatitis B. Shockingly for her, she was requested for a bribe of shs5,000 by the receptionist before she could see a doctor, she enthusiastically made the requested payment.
Tragically, the doctor whom she was directed to, likewise requested a sum of shs100,000 before the test could be done. In the wake of paying, the police who were hiding concealed the place and arrested both the receptionist and the doctor.
