“I Am Not Ready To Go On Stage With Praye Until…” – Andy Dosty

New member of Praye, Andy Dosty has indicated that he will not perform with the music group until they have recorded songs which feature him.

Praye, during the Freedom Concert in Kumasi on March 5, unveiled the radio presenter/DJ as a new member following Choirmaster Eugene Baah’s decision not to come back years after their split.

According to Andy Dosty, the announcement of he joining the group was premature because it was supposed to have been made after they had recorded songs which featured him.

He told KMJ on Daybreak Hitz that there had been an earlier interaction that he would perform with the group after they were done with songs he has been featured on.

“We had decided to record some songs. I’m ready to work with them… They got on stage, invited me and made a statement. Meanwhile I had asked them not to disclose that…” he said.

Adding, “I’m not ready to perform Eugene’s part. I’m not even ready to go on stage with them until we record songs that feature me.”

Andy Dosty further stated that his role will be to produce the group.

“I am trying to adopt the Naughty By Nature style where Treach and Vin go on stage to perform and Kay Gee will stay behind them as their DJ and producer,” he noted.

Despite replacing Eugene Baah [Choirmaster], Andy Dosty said it is his wish that the latter returns to join the group.

“I wish that Eugene will come back. Like I said, I would like to stay back, be their producer and DJ [so] that will not push me away from the group,”

It would be recalled that Praye Tenten and Tietia after performing at the Ultimate Fan Zone concert last year announced that they had decided to come back as a group. However, Praye Honeho [Choirmaster] rebutted saying, he was unaware of any reunion.

He further stated that though he would be willing to join should he be made aware, he had signed a contract with a record label which will make it impossible for him to join the other two as they revive the defunct group.
