My sex tape was 13 years ago, so get over it-Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is over her sex tape and questions why other people aren’t.
“I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime—and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?” she wrote on KimKardashianWest.com, following controversy over her newest naked selfie. “It always seems to come back around to my sex tape. Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?!”
She continued Tuesday, “I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on. I shouldn’t have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago. Let’s move on, already. I have.”
On Monday, the 35-year-old mother of two posted a nude throwback photo from her time as a blonde in 2015.
The photo received heavy backlash from celebrities including Bette Midler and Chloë Grace Moretz.
Midler tweeted on Monday, “If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.”
The comment didn’t sit well with Kardashian who pulled a Kanye Tuesday and went on a Twitter rant against her haters.
“Hey @BetteMiddler I really didn’t want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu,” Kardashian responded.
Later on Tuesday, Midler mocked Kardashian for not being able to take a joke.
Despite the Twitter drama, Kardashian ended her blog post with a statement of female empowerment.
“It’s 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming—it’s like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me. I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy.”
