I will go back to Parliament – Samia Nkrumah
Failed Presidential Candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (NPP) Samia Nkrumah says she is ready to contest the Jomoro parliamentary seat again in the 2016 general elections.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Monday after the party’s primaries on Saturday, she noted that in order to continue serving the party, she will offer herself again for elections in the Jomoro constituency.
Ivor Greenstreeet obtained a massive 1,288 votes of the 1,992 valid votes to beat his former chairperson, Samia Nkrumah who came a distant second with 579 votes in the Saturday polls of the Nkrumahist party.
The others, Joseph Agyapong won 83 and while Bright Akwetey won 42 votes.
But the former chairperson of the CPP, has not given up on politics, and will seek to reclaim the seat she lost in 2012.
“I know I was ousted because some people intentionally did a vilification campaign against me but that will not deter me from going ahead and winning the Jomoro seat once again.
“The plans and objectives I have for my party still stands. We are never going to give up until our mission is accomplished” she stated.
Madam Samia Nkrumah however denied claims fact that Dr Abu Sakara Foster left the party because of her.
